Free Computer Lessons For Over 60s

Free computer lessons are being offered to Manchester residents who are over 60, at local libraries across the city.

Streetlife Football

A free 6-a-side football competition will be held at Manchester Enterprise Academy (formerly parklands High School) from Friday 26th February to Friday 26th march (6pm-8pm) for youngsters aged 10 to 19.
Come on your own, or with a team; access to the Astroturf pitches is via Leybrook Road, Benchill.

Half Term Wrestling

A free series of wrestling sessions will be held at Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre for boys and girls, aged 8-14, during the school holidays (Monday 15th to Friday 19th February) 12.15pm – 1.15pm.

A new user led group for anyone affected by memory problems/dementia

A new user led group for anyone affected by memory problems/dementia meet fortnightly on Saturdays (10 - 12noon) at the Larkhill Centre, Thorley Lane, Timperley, to get advice share experiences, make new friends, and maintain community support and social inclusion.

Modern sequence dance sessions

Modern sequence dance sessions, with Alan and Marie are held at Royal Oak Community Centre, Brookcot Road, Baguley, every Friday 1pm-3.30pm. Admission is just £1, which includes refreshments. Beginners welcome.

Secondhand books are on sale

Secondhand books are on sale in St Wilfrid’s Church Hall, Northenden every Saturday 10am-12 noon. Books are also wanted- take them along or ring Sandy or David on 946 1377 to arrange collection.

The Oak Tree Lunch Club

The Oak Tree Lunch Club meet each Thursday 12 noon-2pm at Newall Green Baptist Church Tuffley Road. All welcome for a simple meal and friendly conversation.

The Connexions Manchester Youth Participation Group

The Connexions Manchester Youth Participation Group meet monthly to discuss their experiences of the Connexions service and also to develop ways of improving the way it is provided.
