Could the future Jenson Button be at Newall Green High School?  Judging by the roaring success of the Formula One Physics activity at the school maybe one of the Year 8 students could be just that!

For two days Philip Rose and his team from SciTech thrilled the students with wonders of Science and how much fun it can be.

Philip’s favourite quote is ‘Science is about understanding working with nature and teaching is Science in action’.

His training session on Formula 1 racing was full of hands-on action and team work.

Students learnt about friction, aerodynamics and timing.

The 6 classes enjoyed a race against the clock while they prepared the car for action in the pits with 8LS the clear winner at 20.73 seconds!
