Every Child Counts
St.Peter’s Catholic Primary School, Newall Green, is at the forefront of a new government initiative, designed to help children overcome difficulties in maths. The programme offers specialist 1:1 tuition where children receive 30 minute, daily lessons, focusing on their counting and mental maths development.

Haiti Earthquake Effort
Staff at Parkway Green Housing Trust have helped raise £660 for the Haiti Earthquake appeal.
After seeing news coverage of the disaster, workers at the Wythenshawe based Housing Trust raised the money by holding two dress-down days and encouraging staff to make contributions which would be match funded by the trust.

Residential Retreat
A group of Wythenshawe school children enjoyed a three day residential retreat at Savio House in Bollington, Cheshire, where they were able to take time out from their busy lives to reflect upon themselves, their hopes and dreams and their relationships with those around them.
