Badminton Tournament

The Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre are hosting a preliminary round tournament of Badminton England’s No Strings National Badminton Championships 2009/10 on the weekend of 27^th and 28^th February 2010. The competition is only open to people who have never played badminton in a league or for any club team and is aimed at social or recreational players only.

Players will be invited to play in a variety of events. The winners of each event will qualify to compete in the Regional finals for a chance to compete in the National Finals at The National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes in June and the opportunity to win thousands of pounds worth of Carlton sports products.

So whether you play badminton socially, have not played it since you were at school and or you are looking for an opportunity to get fit in the new year then what more motivation do you need?

Entry to the tournament is £6.00 per event and application forms can be obtained from reception at The Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre or downloaded from The Badminton England website at www.badmintonengland.co.uk/nlcc The deadline for applications is 15^th January 2010 and it would be great to see as many entrants as possible and even better to get a player at the National Finals.
