Village Plan
Manchester City Council wants to hear from residents and businesses as it develops its vision for the future of Northenden Village.
The vision aims to encourage investment into the area, building on its key strengths, which include the high street on Palatine Road, the waterfront on the River Mersey, Church Road and the Princess Parkway area.
The Northenden Village Local Plan will be delivered over the next 10-15 years by working together with the private sector, land owners, housing providers, businesses, residents and community groups.
Councillor Eddie McCulley, Chair, Wythenshawe Area Committee said: “We have a great opportunity develop the vision for Northenden. We want to continue the good work achieved so far and look forward to making it a great place to live, work and invest. We welcome everyone’s views and ideas as we work together to make our plans a reality.”
The vision is for Northenden to become a village based on the best traditions of South Manchester – lively, attractive and welcoming to residents, businesses and visitors – and able to offer a range of high-quality services and facilities throughout the day and night.
