Community Force
Dozens of community conscious residents have attended a special meeting to recruit members for a new volunteer group.

Shellies Study Success
A record-breaking Wythenshawe student has been personally congratulated by Education Minister Ed Balls.
Fifteen-year old Shellie Shaw, from Newall Green High School in Wythenshawe, successfully achieved an NVQ Level 1 in Business Administration in record time and was presented with her certificate during a visit by the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF).

Local residents are invited to help Groundwork clean up Parkwood, Crossacres on Thursday 13th August 10.30am-3.30pm. Meet at the Longwood Road entrance. All equipment and light refreshments will be provided, but volunteers should take a packed lunch.

Students from Baguley Hall Primary School performed excellently to win the Year 6 Gladiators Tournament between local primary schools at Newall Green High School.
