Churches Together Fund Raiser

Churches Together in Wythenshawe raised  a total of £2450.08 during Christian Aid Week through a house-to-house/collection in Baguley, Newall Green, Royal Oak, Spinney and Bideford Estates (£1704.15); a sponsored walk at St Peters School, Newall Green (£587.93); and other activities (£163).

Wythenshawe Community Initiative

Wythenshawe Community Initiative are holding their annual PlayDay event at Woodhouse Park Family Centre, 7 Stoneacre Road, on Wednesday 5th August  (11am-3pm).
The theme of this years PlayDay is ‘Making Time’ and is aimed at encouraging everyone to make time for play.

Mobile Library Extra Stops

The Mobile Library service in Wythenshawe has been extended, with two extra stops each month as follows:- First Thursday of month (2pm) Junction of Woodhouse Lane/Brownley Road; then for another half hour at the Junction of Royalthorn Road/Mullacre Road.

Tree of Life Fun Day

The Tree of Life Centre will be holding its Fun Day on Friday 7th August from (11am – 3pm), attractions will include, face painting, magician, circus skills, hook and duck, bouncy castle, raffles, tombola, tai chi demonstrations, and lots more. The popular café will be open for food/drink as well as BBQ.

Firbank Truck Pull

The Firbank Pub’s Annual Charity Truck Pull for Christie’s will be held this Saturday 25th July, and volunteers are beeded to haul the vehicle around Wythenshawe and collect cash.
