Half a Million Youth Club

Local politicians helped launch a new half a million pound development at Norbrook Youth Club in Brooklands, by turning the first piece of turf.

The project will help redevelop and expand community sporting facilities for young people in the area and provide a brand new youth club with a multi-use all weather arena, a children’s garden and an outdoor play area.

It is hoped that the project on Bordley Walk,will be completed by November.

MP Paul Goggins and Councillor Glynn Evans joined trustee club volunteers, parents of members, committee members, and local residents.

Paul Goggins said: “I am delighted that I have been asked to turn the first piece of turf, along with councillor Evans, to help launch the development of Norbrook Youth Club which can now look towards a bright future, expanding the facilities it offers to young people in Northern Moor, Brooklands, and the wider area.
