Diversity in Dance
Wythenshawe showed it can definitely dance, when ‘Downtown Dance’ arrived in town. The dance extravaganza featured a mix of dance styles, demonstrated by amateur and professional dancers.

Put a Stop to Crime
The Northenden Neighbourhood Policing Team teamed up with shopkeepers in Northern Moor as part of a three-day drive to promote the independent charity, Crimestoppers.

Sowing Learning Seeds
Manchester City Council’s Environmental Campaigns Team organised activities for year 3 children and parents at Sandilands primary School.
The youngsters planted sunflower seeds,put flowers in hanging baskets with the help of parents and made dancing bee finger puppets.
“The campaign team brought their trailer and supervised the fun afternoon of green workshops” said learning mentor Abida Ahmad.
Looking at Employability
Year 9 pupils from Newall Green High School were the latest participants in the BW3, Businesses Working with Wythenshawe, Job Search Skills programme.

Pupils from Crossacres Primary School and Rackhouse Primary School will be celebrating Wythenshawe’s green space this summer.

The Winston Runners Ladies Race was even more successful than ever this year with over 150 women taking part in the well organised event.
