Nursery Schools Reduce Asthma

Researchers from Wythenshawe Hospital and Manchester University have shown that children who start childcare between the ages of 6 months and one year are 70% less likely to develop asthma.
Even attending nursery from the age of one can reduce the risk by one third for most children.

Toddlers Fun Day

Manchester’s Albert Square was transformed into a giant playground to celebrate the work of the city’s 34 Sure Start children’s centres.
